Arches Printmaking Paper

Arches BFK Rives is made with 100% cotton and no optical brightening agents. It is a bright white, smooth, soft and pliable sheet. Dimensionally stable, BFK Rives is a versatile substrate with an absorbent wove surface that is suitable for all forms of printmaking.  Its smooth surface, soft texture, and light sizing allow it to pick up every detail. It has two natural deckles and 2 torn.
Arches 88 is a mould-made, 100% cotton, buffered paper featuring four deckle edges with a smooth watermarked surface. Originally created for the silkscreen process, Arches 88 has found a following for many different types of printmaking including etching, engraving, lithography, relief and screen printing. It features a very white crisp shade, it is very dimensionally stable, provides a wonderful smooth level surface.
As Arches 88 is completely unsized it is not that forgiving, so even one ink spot or splatter is hard to curate out. This deluxe paper must be handled with great sensitivity and purpose.
